It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of June LeGasse in La Porte, Texas, born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Benoit and Vivian Benoit; her siblings, Margie Perkins, Sara LeBlanc and Clarence Joseph Benoit (Buck); and her son-in-law Mitchell Childress.
She is survived by: her daughter Heather LeGasse (Childress); her stepdaughter Stephanie LeGasse; her sister Ann Melancon; her grandson Eli Childress; her stepgranddaughters, Sonya LeGasse and Petra Rios; her stepgreat-grandson Leon LeGasse; and her godchildren, Debbie Kershaw, Dawn Thompson McMinn, Daylynn Ray and Lance Duhon. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, June would want donations to be given to her grandson's College Fund. Checks can be made in Eli Childress name to be placed into his college savings account.
