He was predeceased by: his parents, Eaton Vaughn and Zelda Vaughn; his daughter Jennifer Michelle Gibbs; and his sister Belinda Eaton Swavely. He is survived by: his daughter Jaime Leigh Hickam (Gene Hickam); his wife Dale Eaton; his grandchildren, Katelyn Jolie Hickam and David Edward Hickam; and his brothers, Ronald (Nan), Mike (Sheena) and Douglas (Tammy). He is also survived by Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to First Baptist Church of La Porte Building Fund in honor of David.
