With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Darrel Rothwell of La Porte, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrel "Dick" Rothwell and Mabel "Gitsie" Rothwell; his siblings, Donna Rothwell, Dennis Rothwell, Boone Rothwell, David Rothwell and Don Rothwell; his nephew Forrest Rothwell; and his great-niece Taylor Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Hall Rothwell; his daughters, Patricia Rothwell, Amy Rothwell and Kimberly Rothwell; his son-in-law Big Ronnie McMeans; his grandson Ronnie "Buddy" McMeans; his sister Paula Rothwell-Abshire (Tommy); and his pet Ellie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Family and Friends Broussard's Mortuary (134 Buccaneer Dr, Winnie, TX 77665). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Broussard's Mortuary (134 Buccaneer Dr, Winnie, TX 77665). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (213 Fairview Cemetary Dr, Winnie, TX 77665).
