It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Ann Smith Van Dyke of La Porte, Texas, who passed away on August 12, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hardy Smith and Winnie Meaux Smith of La Porte, Texas.; her niece Shawn Renae Smith; and her brother-in-law Steven Van Dyke. She is survived by: her husband Charles William Van Dyke of Friendswood, Texas; her children, Laura Watson (James) of Katy, Texas. and Charles William Van Dyke II (Andrea) of Friendswood, Texas; her siblings, James Hardy Smith (Shirley) of Kerrville, Texas and Joan Smith Glover of Crosby, Texas; her grandchildren, Taylor, Jessica Watson and Ava Van Dyke; her nieces, Jenny Rebecca Smith of San Antonio, Texas and Heather Michelle Hodges (Matt) of Covington, Louisiana; her aunt Helen Scott of Baytown, Texas; and her pet Sasha.
