He was predeceased by: his son Michael Plowman of La Marque; his parents, John H. Plowman and Verdi Mae Plowman; and his siblings, James "Chick" Plowman, Alcie Balzer, Dorothy Roach and Betty Lou Sevin.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Louis Plowman of La Marque, Texas; and his children, Barbara Jo Plowman Miles (Thomas) of Dickinson, Texas and Keith Plowman of Dickinson. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
