He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Linton and Charles Linton; his siblings, Charles, Dennis Linton, Bertha Hall, Diane Layman and Ann Mae Edelman; his former wife Linda Linton; his brother-in-law Ernest Lopez; and his children, Karen Linton and Christopher Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Fran Linton; his sons, Charles T. Linton, II, Gene R. Linton, Jr. (Stacy), Stephen and Randy Linton; his brother Thomas R. Linton; and his sister-in-law Lupe Aguilar (Tony). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials in Gene's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society to honor the life of his daughter.
