She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. William Johnson and Thelma Johnson; and her husband George King. She is survived by: her children, Tony King, Darrell King, Rodney Simon, Lachaya King and Kimberly King; her grandchildren, Susan King, Darrell King Jr. and Kyndall King; her great grandchildren, Cayden King, Maddison King-Ferguson and Ma'Kenzie King-Ferguson; her nieces, Felica Taylor, Wanda Simon and Metria Marks; and also Jerald Penrice. She is also survived by cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (2120 36th St N, Texas City, TX 77590). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
