She was predeceased by: her husband Tiburcio Ruiz Jr.; her daughter Anna Lisa Vela Ruiz; her great grandchild Nathaniel Gonzalez; and her sister Guadalupe Cruz. She is survived by: her children, Juan Pablo Ruiz (Elisa), Fernando Ruiz (Maria Angelica) and Melissa Ruiz Hernandez (Martin). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lord & I Cemetery - Penitas (1005 E Expressway 83, Penitas, TX 78576). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. A burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lord and I Funeral Home (1005 E Expressway 83, Penitas, TX 78576). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Angels Church (916 S Leo Ave, La Joya, TX 78560).
