He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Valdez and Maria Elena Maldonado; his son Juan Jose Valdez (Rebecca); and his granddaughter Laura Emily Valdez. He is survived by: his wife Aurora Valdez; and his children, Armando Valdez (Klaudia), Roberto Valdez (Rachal) and Gloria Salinas (Jorge). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
