He was predeceased by: his parents, Vesta Haglund Jarl and Lambert Jarl; his grandparents, Edla Svan Jarl and Carl Jarl (Austin); his brothers, Clifton Emory Jarl (Army) and Leroy Lambert Jarl (Navy); his wife Joann; his parents-in-law, Dorene and Louis Struve; and his niece Becky Jarl.
He is survived by: his son Grady Jarl; his daughter-in-law Carmen Jarl; his grandchildren, Katie Jarl (Jeff Coyle) and Ben Jarl; his niece Kathy Jarl Duarte; and his nephew Nelson Jarl.
