He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan J. Svec and Johanna Svec (Lidiak); his brothers, Ivan N. Svec, John Svec and Bill Svec; his sisters-in-law, Marie Svec, Gracie Svec and Shirley Svec; and his grandson Aaron Michael Svec.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Svec (Heintschel); his children, Steven Svec (Bernice) and Susan Mueller (Tommy) of La Grange; his brothers, Henry Svec (Maria) and Thomas Svec (Marilyn); his sister-in-law Bobbie Svec; his grandchildren, Dr. Brendan Mueller (Julia Mueller), Alyson Svec, Ariel Svec and Aric Svec; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Juarez and Mathew Mueller. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Building Fund.
