She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anton Cernoch and Lillie Kana Cernoch; her husband Melvin Daniel Shimek; and her brother John C. Cernoch. She is survived by: her children, Shirley Ann Jahn (Ruben Rodriguez) of Fayette County, Doris Marie Cernosek (David) of Fayette County, Daniel Melvin Shimek (Mary Harrell) of Fayette County, David Wayne Shimek (Connie) of Fayette County and Sherri Lynn Cervantez (Hector) of Fayette County; her grandchildren, Jason Jurica, Adam Cernosek, Faydra Grimm (Philip), Laura Delin (Bryce), Victoria Taylor (Jay), Skyler Shimek (Ashley), Katie Rustin (Kyle), Alexandra Shimek, Joshua Cervantez and Mitchell Cervantez; and her great grandchildren, Peyton, Aubrey Grimm, Jackson Delin and Azaria Shimek. She is also survived by numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
