He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin G. Behrens and Lena Helen Behrens (Kirchoffer); and his siblings, Alvin Behrens, Jr., Louie Behrens, Lee Behrens, Mildred Buscha, Gladys Simek and Edna Leschper.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Behrens; his son Burton Behrens (Eugenia) of Columbus; his sister Dorothy Witt (Dale); his stepchildren, Stewart Schmidt, Tresa Keaton (Joe) and Sandy Shumard (Curtis); his grandchildren, Codie Behrens (Natalie) and Heather Woolard (Bubba); his stepgrandchildren, Katie McGuire (Kyle), Clinton Keaton (Kayla Spence), Luke, Travis and Jesse; his great grandchildren, Khloe, Kenslie, Callie, Korbin and Haisley; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rush, Jay, Kiley, Mason, Lane and Liam. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the family to help with funeral expenses, Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church or to a charity of one's choice.
