He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicodemus Gabriel and Regina Gabriel (Hoffart); his wife Betty Gabriel; his children, Sharon Mertz and Danny Gabriel; and his grandson Larry Lynn Gabriel, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Polasek (Glenn) of La Grange, TX, Martin Gabriel, Jr. (Terry) of La Grange, TX, Michael Gabriel (Cathy) of Houston, TX and Larry Gabriel of Warrenton, TX; his son-in-law Darrold Mertz of Warrenton, TX; and his sister Agnes Halliburton of Houston, TX. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
