He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zimmermann and Annie Ohnheiser Zimmermann; his daughters, Carol Zimmermann Payne and Kathy Zimmermann Bohne; and his son-in-law Mario Coronado.
He is survived by: his sister Gladys Weir; his wife Earline Zimmermann; his children, David Zimmermann (Kay Davis Zimmermann) and Janet Coronado; and his stepchildren, Michael (Melinda Bahr) and Vicki (Kirk Douglas). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
