He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Clinton Hughes and Maude Alleane Hughes (Liles). He is survived by: his wife Estella Hughes; his children, Dale Hughes (Cynthia) of Boerne and Karen Vinklarek (Ernest) of Cistern; his grandchildren, Steven Hughes (Viviana), Jeremy Vinklarek, Ashley Lockett Vinklarek, Brendan Hennelly (Seanna) and Stephen Hennelly; and his great grandchildren, Zachary Vinklarek, Kyle Lockett, Jaci Lockett, Ayani Hughes, Gisele Hughes, Owen Hennelly and Emery Hennelly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Cistern.
