He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Olenick and Mary Wiley (Silva); his stepfather Gil Wiley; his sister Carol; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Freudenberg and Alvin Freudenberg, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Freudenberg; his children, Danny Olenick (Stacey) of La Grange, Brad Olenick (Toni) of Katy and Theresa Chovanec (Lee) of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Blake Olenick (Sheena) of China Spring, Jacey Olenick of La Grange, Jamey Olenick of La Grange, Peyton Olenick of La Grange, Briar Olenick of Grainger, Cayla Dodd of Missouri and Courtney Smith of Katy; and his great grandchildren, Braxton Olenick, Braiden Olenick, Walker Wagonn, Clayton Campbell and Cadence. He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum or the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange.
