He was predeceased by: his parents, James Deward Johnson and Billie Jean Swanson Johnson; his siblings, James Deward Johnson, Jr., Kay Bishop and Lavonne Johnson; and his grandson James Deward Johnson, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Rosie Hernandez; his sons, Billy Don Johnson, Jr. (Amanda Gates) and Brandon James Johnson (D'Ana); his sister Cynthia Corapatra Meiners (Wallace); his grandchildren, Cheyenne Cruz Johnson, Jagger Lane Johnson, Marina Gates, Mia Pipkin, Abigail Altman, Jordan Taylor, Kourtney Johnson and Brandon Johnson, Jr.; and his friends, Georgianna Orona, George Burke, Richard, Ginger Royston, Trina, Manuel Magallanes and Roy Wuensche. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Johnson family to cover the expenses of their unexpected loss.
