With solemn reverence, we commemorate Betty Duke of La Grange, Texas, born in Giddings, Texas, whose life came to an end on October 29, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Goerge Pohorelsky, Sr. and Martha Alvina Gerlach; and her son Nathan Peschke. She is survived by: her children, Ronald Peschke (Dianne) of Richmond and Gail Cook (Clay) of La Grange; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Benton; her brothers, George Pohorelsky, Jr. (Jane) and Charles Pohorelsky; and her grandchildren, Michael Peschke (Kay), Courtney Rice (Kerry), Chad Peschke (Linsey), Kim Cook, Kirk Peschke (Derni), Valerie Hinze (Garrett) and Elizabeth Peschke. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (600 FM 1482, Warda, TX 78960). A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Giddings City Cemetery (900 W Austin St, Giddings, TX 78942).
The family request that memorial donations be made to The Holy Cross Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
