He is survived by: his wife Connie Jakobeit; his brother Patrick Jakobeit; his siblings-in-law, Clinton Lueders, Jr. and Cindy Castello; his children, Charles Jakobeit (Kellie) of La Grange, Shandell Jakobeit-Schubert (Kevin) of La Grange and Robert Jakobeit of La Grange; his grandchildren, John Crider Jr., Camisha Golding (Adam), Jonathan Crider (Angelica Alvarez), Stephanie Crider (Nicholas Campos), Draven Reel, Jackie, Emma and Jacob Jakobeit; his great grandchildren, Nathaniel Crider, Eliana Crider, Aliyah Campos, Jordan Campos, DJ Reel, Ariel Reel, Elayiana Crider, Meisha Crider and Tyson Crider; and his nieces, Francis Swainston (Eric) and Nora DeBoard.
