She was predeceased by: her parents, Polo Villarreal and Ernestina Villarreal; her siblings, Humberto Villarreal, Alfonso Villarreal, Bertha Lopez, Connie Garcia, Irene Villarreal, Delia Villarreal and Odon Rodriguez Nava; and her former husband Rodriguez-Villarreal.

She is survived by: her children, Humberto Rodriguez (Cherry), Blanca Davis (Jack), Norma Thonen (Patrick), Patsy Manard (Paige) and Javier Rodriguez (Gayle); her grandchildren, Teresa Rodriguez, Shaun Davis (Marisol), Leanna Manard and Hunter Thonen (Chelsie); her great grandchildren, Aliyiah Davis, Shauna Davis and Darren Jackson Davis; her siblings, Lencho Villarreal (Terri), Polo Villarreal (Sandy), Johnny Villarreal, Alicia Sosa and Imelda Swetnam (Mike); and her friends, Fela, Molly and Minnie. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked memorial donations in memory of Tere Villarreal may be made to The Narciso Martinez Cultural Arts Center.
