He was predeceased by: his former wife Wyn; his parents, John H. Giere, Sr. and Addie Lucille; and his brothers, John H. Giere, Jr. and Boyd Giere.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Giere; his children, Darron Giere (Paradise), Stephani Montoya (Sheldon) and Kiwi Giere (Shannon); his grandchildren, Tracey Fifield (Tony) and Jessica Whitehead (Clay); and his sister Dorothy McWha. He is also survived by twenty-three grand children, seventeen great-grand children, one adorable great-great granddaughter.
