He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis H. Herzog and Jewel Whisenant Herzog; his wife Ella Bertha Randow Herzog (Tootie); and his siblings, Ernest Herzog, Herman Herzog, Melvin Herzog, Mildred Biddy and Jewel Limmer (Grace).
He is survived by: his brothers, Johnny Herzog of Temple and Bobby Herzog of San Antonio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
