He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Ibarra Medina and Eva Carrasco Medina; and his siblings, Alfredo, Abelardo, Carmen and Elodia.

He is survived by: his wife Maria Hermelinda Rodriguez-Medina; his daughter Eva Zulema Medina-Ortiz; his son-in-law Adolph Ortiz; his grandson Armando Martinez; and his brother Richard Medina.
