The memory of Ruth Catherine Fridel in Kurten, Texas, who passed away on April 5, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. John Meiller and Bertha Meiller; her husband Louis Fridel; and her siblings, Edward, Alfred, Paul, Albert, Gus, Charlie, Herman, Ted, Emma Bertha and Emma Betty McDonnell.
She is survived by: her children, Mark (Roxanne Fridel) of Houston, Lynette Fridel of Bryan and Michael Fridel of Bryan; her sisters-in-law, Louann Fridel of Houston and Sherry Fridel of Millican; and her friend Tammy Swink Steward. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory (3001 S College Ave, Bryan, TX 77801). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (507 E 26th St, Bryan, TX 77803). A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery (2801 Old Kurten Rd, Bryan, TX 77803).
