He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Butler; his parents, Jesse Butler and Avis Murrie; his siblings, Norman Butler, Gene Butler, Adean Hensley, Lora Faye Williams and Vernon Butler; and his great grandchild Emma Newman.
He is survived by: his daughter Phyllis; his husband Donald Newman of Krum; his siblings, Etta Frazelle of Rogers, OA and Gary Butler of Westville, OK; and his grandchildren, Greg, Shannon Newman of Denton, Regina, Chad Davis of Krum, Michelle and Michael McDonald of Krum. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
