He is survived by: his wife Shirley Joan Bell (Coffey) of Krum; his children, Charles Dennis Dempsey, Jr. (Trina) of Slidell, Monica Bell of Justin and Judy Bell (Cato Allen) of Justin; his grandchildren, Micah Hudson, Loren Hudson, Brandt Schull, Shannon Fowler, Hope Dempsey and Ashley Sumpter (Derick); his great grandchildren, Ariana Fowler, Maclaine Bolden and Myah Bolden; his niece Ellen Bishop Long (Calvin); and his nephews, Ricky Bishop and Chuck Bishop (Susan).
