She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen H. Harris and Marie Warren Harris; her husband Clifton Laird; her stepmother Jewel Harris; and her siblings, Gerald Harris and Montrecia (James "Buddy" Carroll).

She is survived by: her daughter Julie (Oscar Matthews) of Krum; her granddaughter Joshlyn; her sister Ona Brantley (Bob) of Knoxville, Tennessee; her stepsister Carol Ann Coughlin (Tom) of Dallas; and her siblings-in-law, Charles Laird (Chris) of Irving and Doris Inman of Pilot Point. She is also survived by 4 nieces and 4 nephews; numerous of great nieces and nephews; and some loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to: New Life Church Denton Youth Mission Trip.
