He was predeceased by: his parents, T. Y. Young and Pearl Young (House); his former wife Jean (Davis); and his siblings, Francis Ready, Edgar Young of Carlton Young, G. W, Audrey Mahagan, Elvin Young, Melvin Young, Margie Pool, Earl Young and Mearl Young.
He is survived by: his children, Donny Young (Kaylyn) of Lubbock, Denise Christian (Vick) of Farwell and Darren Young (Vickie) of Plainview; his grandchildren, Curt Christian of Austin, Nathan Young (Alyson) of Ruston, LA, Micah Dunn (Wally) of Midland and Jarrod Young (Katie) of Howe; his great grandchildren, Slade, Saylor, Sloane Young, Cooper, Jon Walter, Lillie Kate, Taylor Dunn, Ellie and Jacob Young; his wife Rita Blount Young of Plainview; and his stepsons, Kenneth Blount (Trudi) of Edmond and Bobby Blount (Shirley) of Clifton.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Plainview - Kornerstone Funeral Directors (3605 SW 3rd, Plainview, TX 79072). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church.
