She was predeceased by: her parents, Noel Freeman and Bessie Ruth Freeman; and her daughter Karen Grace Janis. She is survived by: her sister Donna Brown; her children, Doug Janis, John Janis, Kathryn Meyer (Dan) and Wanda Forrest (Mike); her grandchildren, Misty Short (Le), Shawn Meyer, Amber Connelly, Ashley Meyer and Jordan Janis; and her great grandchildren, Savannah, Mason, Jackson and Grace Short.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Dementia Society of America.
