With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joann Worthey (Kountze, Texas), born in Bacliff, Texas, who passed away on January 19, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Hupe and Helen Paladino Ooley; her stepfather Don Ooley; her stepson Kirk Worthey; her grandparents, Winnie Bell and John Paladino; and her sister Johnnie Kalbow.

She is survived by: her husband Danny Worthey; her children, Raynell Box Rowinsky of Texas City, Thomas Box (Minnie) of Texas City, Gina Worthey, Sherry Able of Santa Fe, Valarie Chapman (James Lee) of Spurger, Shannon Curtice Worthey, Jeremy Curtice of Texas City and Cody Worthey Rowinsky (Michelle) of Honey Island; her daughter-in-law Sylvia Worthey of Safford, AZ; and her grandchildren, Joshua Rowinsky, Brandon Worthey Rowinsky (Paige), Daniel Rowinsky, Tanner Worthey Rowinsky (Elizabeth), Nikki Worthey Rowinsky, Katlyn White, Anthony Box, Cindal Worthey, Devin Worthey, Trask Martin, Tia Martin, Burgandi Worthey Morris (Brazos), Bailan Worthey (Tiffany), Chris Chapman, Jake Chapman (Dianna), Travis Fuente (Kristen), Taylor Fuente Davis (Dereck), Austin Nowlin, Brittany Minks, Kennedy Roden, Jamie Hill, Chance Hill and Jesse Biscamp. She is also survived by fifty great grandchildren.
