He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Melba Thibodeaux and Thomas Benton Trahan; his siblings, Billy Richard Trahan and Barbara L. Trahan; and his sister-in-law Betty E. Trahan.
He is survived by: his children, James E. Trahan, Jr. (Allison) and Christie Barto (Jeremy) of Kountze; his siblings, Robert S. Trahan, Sr. of Houston and Joan M. Trahan of Beaumont; his grandchildren, John-Thomas B. Lucas of Kountze, Jesse L. Lucas of Kountze, Colten E. Barto of Kountze, Keegan A. Barto of Kountze and Henry N. Trahan of Austin; and his nephew Deacon Robert S. Trahan, Jr. (Natalia) of Houston.
