He is survived by: his children, Beth Wynell McClary (David) of Georgetown, Veronica Whitworth of Pueblo, Colorado, Carl Nelson Whitworth, Jr. (Marta) of Kosse and Robert Whitworth of Pueblo, Colorado; his siblings, Ola Mae Griffith of Houston, Betty Whitworth of Dibol, Bennie Whitworth (Kathy) of Etoile and Vernis Whitworth (Elizabeth) of Etoile; his grandchildren, Tina (Kevin), Shannon, Melanie (Eric), Michael Nelson (Yvonne), Robert, Wesley, Jessica, Matthew (LaDeidre), Michelle, Marcus, LaDerious, Mariposa, Christina, Cheyanne, Jasmine, Karma and Athena; his great grandchildren, Daylan, Issac, Joseph, Elizabeth, Elijah, Travis, Damien, Victoria, Ray, Brandon and Selah; and his great great grandchildren, Eko Nesta and Makai.

Carl was also a proud supporter of the Trias Foundation.
