He was predeceased by: his parents, Lilian Yates and Carl Yates; his wife Marilyn Yates; and his brother Carl Yates Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Pam Hurd (Benjamin) of Arlington, Texas, Randy Yates of Kopperl, Texas and Robby Yates (Lisa) of Maypearl, Texas; and his brothers, Roger Dean Yates of Coffeyville, Kansas and Donnie Yates of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
