He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Vail and Gladys Vail; his brother Maurice Vail (Bud); and his brothers-in-law, Burt Denton and David Denton.
He is survived by: his wife Lou Denton Vail; his daughters, Kim Vail Morrow (Phillip) of Tulsa, OK and Tina Vail Slagle (Bobby) of Owasso, OK; his grandchildren, Kristina Barber Covington (Casey) of Duncan, OK, Karmen Barber Nystrom (Tim) of Phoenix, AZ, Kaley Slagle, Allie Slagle, Zoe Slagle of Owasso, OK, Phillip A. Morrow (Melissa) of Tulsa, OK and Garrett Morrow of Tulsa, OK; his sister Phyllis Vail Grope (Bob) of Fort Worth; and his siblings-in-law, Loretta Vail, A. P. Denton (Kay) of Knox City, Lois Denton Bruton of Abilene, Gay Denton of Flower Mound and Nancy Denton of Houston. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
