It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eloise Ray of Knox City, Texas, born in Merkel, Texas, who passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Zelphia Barker (Bird) and Mason Barker; her husband Jerry "PaPa" Ray; and her brother Alfred "Butch" Barker. She is survived by: her children, Judy Lowe (Jerry Lee) of Munday, Don Ray (Christi) of Katy, Doug Ray (Jane) of Knox City and Clifford Ray (Jamie Lowrance); her grandchildren, Stuart, Robin (Emilio), Haleigh (Bobby), Skylar (Kelsie), Kelsey, Amanda (Manuel), Brittany (Steve), Jeremy (Brittany), Justin (Rileigh), Jordan (Kandace) and Mackenzie; her sisters-in-law, Janelle Barker, Ann Howle and Hortense Ray; and her close friend Ed Miller. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made in Susie's name to the American Alzheimers Association.
