He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Bean and Adell Miles Bean; his siblings, Nettie Samuel, Elmer Bean, George Bean and Joe Felton Bean; his son James Bean; his grandson James Bean, Jr. (Steve); and his daughter Adrienne Reliford (Erskin) of Beaumont Texas.
He is survived by: his wife Zelma Gloria Foster; his grandchildren, Kendra Wellford of Webster, Alexa Redford of Beaumont, Texas., Byron Bean and James Evans of Beaumont, Texas.; and his siblings, Mary "Apple", Edward Bean (Teresa) of Flint Michigan and Taft Bean (Gwen) of Flint Michigan.
