She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Armstrong and Donnie (Morris); her former husband James Pitts; her husband Chester Brannen; her children, Betty Pitts, Brenda Bass and Daniel Brannen; and her sister Donna Nunery.
She is survived by: her children, Clayton Pitts, Brandi, Eleanor Bice, Glenn, Wade Pitts, Amanda Merry, Tracey Brannen, Charles Brannen, Gerald Brannen, Nelda Chism and Barbara Merry; her siblings, Jessie Armstrong, Kenny Armstrong, Dorothy Alderman, Hazel Nunery, Elizabeth Linton and Betty Hughes; her grandchildren, Ashly Donavan, Ryan Martin, Courtney Martin and Mathew Rice; and her great grandchildren, Gracie, Sophia, Braddix, Alex, Gauge, Mercy, Garrett, Bailey, Brenn and Christean.
