He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Saunders; his daughter Patty Mae Petree (Billy) of Kirbyville; his granddaughters, Tina Bush (Jared) of Lumberton and Katy Wilkes (Richie) of Port Neches; his great grandchildren, Lil Jared Bush, Jace Bush, Saffron Claire Wilkes and Richard James Wilkes; and his siblings, Patricia Whitman (Bill) of Spurger and Jerry Wayne Saunders (Sue) of Conroe.
