He was predeceased by: his father George Washington Gernandt; his sister Georgia Ann Gernandt; his mother Viola Hazel Redwine (Snyder); his stepmother Alma Heslop (Tenant); and his siblings, Viola Hazel Harvey (Gernandt), Noah Webster Redwine III and George Gernandt.
He is survived by: his sister Jozell Lane (John).
