It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Fay Mattox Sims of Kingwood, Texas, born in Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Thomas "Tom" Sims; her son Charles Mattox "Bud" Sims; her grandson Thomas Daniel "Tommy" Cook; her parents, Henry Warren Mattox and Sybil Fay Magee Mattox; and her brother Henry Ellis Mattox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Zoe Ann Arnold (Lanny) of Ocean Springs, MS and Melinda Sims "Mendy" Gilliam (Michael) of Kingwood, TX; her grandchildren, Rachel Ann Cook of Ocean Springs, MS, David Kervin Cook, Jr. of Ocean Springs, MS, Mitchell Sims Cook (Kristlyn) of Seminary, MS, Wren Mattox Gilliam of Kingwood, TX and Kyle Thomas Gilliam of Cocoa, FL; her great grandchild Thomas Nickolai Smith of Ocean Springs, MS; her nephews, Robert Mattox of Gulfport, MS and Richard Mattox (Joyce) of Saucier, MS; and her niece Rosalind Kuhn (Herbie) of D'Iberville, MS. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
