He is survived by: his pet Lucy; his wife Jeanie Shaffer; his children, J. J. Shaffer (Rocky Perkins), Scott Williams, Jessica Walker (Patrick Walker), Cynthia Guynes (Doug Guynes), Jan and Jeanette Shaffer; his siblings, Tommy Shaffer (Pam), George Shaffer, Helen Evans and Alice Hill (Dexter Hill); his grandchildren, Jody Williams, Tori Baskerville, Brianna Guynes, Madalynn Williams, Christen and Brandi Shaffer; his great grandchildren, Jessie Williams, Ryley Williams and Ezekiel Williams; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Pady (Debbie), Terry Pady (Linda), Keith Pady (Pam), Darrell Pady, Janet Watkins (Dutch) and Deborah Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cleveland - Pace-Stancil Funeral Home (303 E Crockett St, Cleveland, TX 77327). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Pace-Stancil Chapel (303 E Crockett St, Cleveland, TX 77327). A burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
