He is survived by: his children, Kathy, Karen, Kristin Barto (John), Scott and Craig (Liz); his sister Jasmine Walston; his grandchildren, Camden, Preston, Riley, Cade, Reese, Maxine, Eva, Conner Alford, Michael and Kaitlyn Barto; and his great grandchild Brooklyn Alford.
He was very proud of his contributions to the Space Shuttle program.
