He was predeceased by: his children, K. J. Chacko and Annamma Chack. He is survived by: his wife Sosamma John (Leelamma); his children, Anil John, AJ John and Anitha Sam (Polly); his children-in-law, Shibu Sam and Sini John; and his grandchildren, Sonia Sam, Jamie John, Stephen Sam, Nicholas John, Olivia John and Jayden John.
