He is survived by: his wife Laverne Hughes; his children, W. G. Hughes, John Hughes (Leslie) and Julie Hickman (Doug); his grandchildren, Derick, Daniel Hickman and Tori Hickman; his nephew Greg Thorson (Dottie); and his niece Gay Thorson.
