She was predeceased by: her parents, Diego Sanchez and Teresa Sanchez; her siblings, Francisco Sanchez, San Juana Rios and Gertrudis Sanchez; her sons, Carlos S. Zapata and Daniel S. Zapata; and her daughter-in-law Irma H. Zapata.
She is survived by: her children, Julian S. Zapata of Austin, Christina Zapata-Arroyo (Richard) of Port Lavaca and Juan David Zapata of O'Fallon, Illinois; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth M. Zapata of Portland; and her grandchildren, Andriana Solis (Robert) of Portland, Daniel Zapata Jr. of Chicago, Diego Zapata of Ricardo and Luis Alberto Zapata of Aurora, Colorado..
In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, St. Martin's Catholic Church or Teresa S. Zapata Memorial Scholarship fund established by the family.
