She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvador Barrera and Petra G. Barrera; her husband Filemon "Phil" V. Esquivel; her brothers, Gilberto and Salvador Barrera Jr.; and her great grandchild Ethan Daniel Esquivel.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Ann Cardona (Eric), Heriberto Esquivel (Dalia), Ben Esquivel, David Esquivel (Michelle), Filemon B. Esquivel Jr. (Christina) and Michael Esquivel (Drusilla); her sisters, Adelina Canales and Angie B. Winget (Art); and her sister-in-law Ernestina Barrera. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St Martin Catholic Church (715 N 8th St, Kingsville, TX 78363-4515). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
