He was predeceased by: his son Richard Silva; his parents, Juan O. Silva and Carmela Silva (Adame); and his siblings, Juan A. Silva, Jr., Raul Silva, Ventura Quintanilla, Pedro Silva, Benita Elizondo, Elida Quintanilla, Barbara Elizondo, Emma Silva Green and Herlinda Silva Quintanilla.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia R. Silva; his children, Roberto "Bob" Silva, Jr. (Christy), Adrian M. "Calonie" Silva (Anna), Jesse Silva (Charlene), Delma Legarda (Arturo), Melissa Silva, Michelle Silva (Rey Munoz Jr), Rachel Buchmann (Zach), Elizabeth Boatright (David) and Calallen; and his sisters, Alicia Silva and Maria Reilly (Johnathan). He is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
