He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Delfa Silva; his children, Miguel H. Silva, Jr. (Marcy A.), Carmen Macareno, Natalia Silva, Sabrina Silva, Lluvia Silva and Nevaeh Silva; his stepchildren, Esmeralda R. Sandoval (Angel), Zoe Rodriguez, Donovan Rivas and Jesse Rivas, IV; his mother Santos Vasquez; and his siblings, Kristy Gonzalez (AR) and Daniel Vasquez (Laura). He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
