Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Michelle Renée Johnson Vela (Kingsville, Texas), born in Houston, Texas, who passed away at the age of 56, on February 26, 2023. She is survived by: her mother Katie Marie Ash Dawson; her husband Roberto Vela Cordova; her sons, Liam, Dylan, Brody and Julian; and her brothers, Marc Aaron Johnson (Brenna) and Christopher Stefan Johnson (Adrian). She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Her family will be establishing a Memorial Fund for Spanish Majors in her name. In lieu of flowers, please send any gesture of love to the fund once established or to the Animal Rescue in honor of her passion for education and her love for all creatures.
